AutoRek take on Ben Nevis for Beatson Cancer Charity…
July 20, 2017 by AutoRek Careers
On the Saturday 9th September 2017, 18 courageous challengers from AutoRek are set to take on the tallest mountain in the British Isles, Ben Nevis. The 1,345m goliath will be a tough challenge for Team AutoRek but a combination of teamwork and determination will help them overcome the physical challenges to raise funds for #TeamBeatson, whilst enjoying the views too.
The challenge is expected to take around 10 hours with several factors including fitness, weather and terrain affecting the possible time. Team AutoRek’s training is well under way with everyone aiming to make the climb as enjoyable and fun as possible. It’s going to be a tough challenge, however if anyone can do it, it will be Team AutoRek.
The team members include; Deborah Anderson, Roi Sanchez, Joanne Meney, Maxim Dovgy, David Salthouse, Stephanie Walker, Kenny Johnson, Jack Robbins, Graeme Clark, Ross Harvey, Angus McInroy, Kamil Teczkowski, Fiona Millar, Gordon McHarg, Amanda Fraser, Sean McCluskey, Jessica Cunningham and Callum Macinnes.
One of the key organisers Deborah Anderson commented “This year I’m really looking forward to what is going to be a fantastic challenge trekking Ben Nevis for the Beatson Cancer Charity. The feeling of team work and accomplishment is what really sold this event for me when choosing this year’s challenge. The idea of 18 of us AutoRek-ers driving each other to the top and having fun along the way is hopefully going to make for an unforgettable weekend. The Beatson is a charity that is very special to me and doing this event for them is a no-brainer, I only hope I can make it to the top in one piece! Wish us all at Team AutoRek luck!”
